Introduction
The basic principle behind WINBUTTON is simple: you the button click, money you might win. In case you have not noticed it is our motto. Although this is a simple principle, we did do a little homework before we decided to randomly give away cash on the internet. So feel free to click as much as you want on the button, and you might win money.
What determines a winner?
Chance, luck, who knows. Well, we do. Here is the gist of the algorithm behind WINBUTTON. Essentially we generate a bunch of random winning times, and once one of the times has passed, a small subset of the loser quotes are designated as winners. If one of those quotes is displayed when you click the WINBUTTON, then you win. Ultimately, the more you click the higher your chances of winning, so click away. Don't be discouraged if you do not win right away. The reason our site does not continuously tell you that you are a winner, is that when you win, you really do win.
How we pay you when you win?
When you win, the site will tell you that you are a winner. It will give you instructions on whom to e-mail and what information to include. We will then either send you cash in the mail, or credit your paypal account, whichever you prefer. We will not ask you for any kind of personal information, nor will we ever use or sell your e-mail address. We're a bunch of honest guys just trying to have some fun online. We do have a rule however, that you can only win a maximum of three times in a 30 day period.
What's the deal with the loser quotes?
The loser quotes are the text that appears at the top of the winbutton when you do not win. We try and provide you with some entertainment even if you do not win right away. Quotes are the way we generate content on the site. This helps us get a wide variety of Ads on our site, which are our only source of revenue. We allow you, the user, to also submit some loser quotes if you so desire. Simply type a loser quote into the dialog box at the bottom of the winbutton page and it will be added. We do moderate our quote lists, and will remove any quotes with profanity or other explicit language. We want to keep winbutton a site for everyone!
NEW!!! What's the deal with the pot?
The pot is the amount of money you will win, if you win. The value of the pot is determined by the amount of revenue generated by the site. In other words, the more people play, the more revenue we generate, and the more money we can give away. The pot usually starts out at $5, and then it grows based on how many times the button is clicked. As soon as someone wins, the pot is reset. However, we do not immediately list the winners on our the winner's page as we ask for their approval before listing them.
